For players
What players and team captains do, from sign-in to the end of a match.
This page is for players. Organisers can send it to their teams as it is. You need a Steam account and CS2.
Play a match
Sign in with Steam
Open the tournament address your organiser gave you, for example https://tournament.example.com, and click Sign in with Steam. After sign-in you land on your own player page. You can always get back to it with My profile in the top bar.
If the page says you are not registered, ask the organiser to add you to your team. Some tournaments only allow players that the organiser added.
Wait for your match
Your player page shows your next match. Before the organiser starts the tournament, it says the match is waiting. Keep the page open. It updates by itself when something happens.
Do the map veto
In best of 1, 3 and 5 matches, the two teams ban and pick maps on their player pages. When it is your team's turn, the page shows YOUR TEAM'S TURN TO BAN A MAP (or to pick a map or a side). Click a map to choose it. Any player on the team can make the choice, so agree in your team who does it.
The order of bans and picks is in Map veto. Shuffle tournaments have no veto.
Join the server
When a server is ready, the player page shows the server. Click Connect to Server to start CS2 and join. You can also click Copy Console Command and paste the command into the CS2 console. It looks like this:
connect 192.168.1.100:27015If no server is free yet, the page says it is waiting for a server. After each match a server needs about 2 minutes to reset, so this can take a moment.
Type .ready
You are put on your team when you join. Type .ready in the chat when you are ready. The match starts when all players are ready.
Play
During the match you can use chat commands such as .pause, .tech and .unpause. See Commands for the full list.
After the match
The result shows on your player page and the team page. In a tournament, your next match appears on your player page when it is ready.
The team page
Every team has a page at /team/<team-id>, for example https://tournament.example.com/team/navi. It shows the current match, the roster, the team's stats and its match history. You must be signed in to open it. The veto and the join button are on your player page, not on the team page.
Problems
- The veto buttons do not show. Check that you are signed in with the Steam account that is on your team's roster. Ask the organiser to check the roster.
- You cannot join the server. Copy the console command and paste it into the CS2 console. If it still fails, tell the organiser. They can move the match to another server.
- You joined the wrong team, or you are a substitute. The organiser can add you to the match from the match page.
